Seabrook’s Elf Squad enjoyed volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House of the Coastal Empire located in Savannah. The Ronald McDonald House continues to provide hope, encouragement and comfort to children and their families through donations from corporations, organizations, individuals, foundations and the support of local McDonald’s owner/operators. As the 100th House built, the Ronald McDonald House of the Coastal Empire are dedicated to providing a “Home Away from Home” for seriously ill or injured children and their families who are receiving treatment at local area hospitals.
This week, The Seabrook has two teams volunteering to make lunch for the 25 family members staying at the house. The first Seabrook Elf Squad prepared a Chicken Caprece Stack. This gourmet salad envisions by Seabrook’s very Chef Gabby features grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes, roma tomatoes, mixed greens, olive oil and balsamic glaze drizzle.
In October 1982, The Seabrook of Hilton Head opened as a nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization. The visionary leadership and principles of stewardship has helped craft The Seabrook as a community devoted to philanthropy, faith, family and service to others. The Seabrook of Hilton Head is a pillar of corporate social responsibility that encourages employees to volunteer their time and give back to their community's nonprofits, charities or other initiatives.
“I think it’s important to volunteer because it builds relationships between team members while also giving back to the community. Working together as a team to put a smile on a families’ faces is the greatest way to begin these holidays,” said Hope Hamilton, Administrative Assistant at The Seabrook of Hilton Head.
