A Greenwood, South Carolina native, Sammie Jo Manning earned her B.A. degree in psychology with a minor in theatre from Stetson University. Manning’s previous work experience includes Walt Disney World, where she was an Attractions Cast Member; a bird of prey trainer at the Irish Raptor Research Center; Visual Communications at Dolphin Research Center; and as a U.S. Coast Guard Certified Boat Captain running ecology and leisure tours in the Florida Keys.
She has helped to pioneer many innovative initiatives for The Seabrook and has greatly enjoyed her time there so far, having worked previously as the Activities Director for Fraser Health Center and now as the Communications Manager at The Seabrook.

In, October 1982, The Seabrook of Hilton Head opened as a nonprofit, tax exempt charitable organization. The Seabrook Foundation Fund was established by the Board of Trustees to promote our vision of social accountability.
