Remember when you moved onto a new neighborhood and faced the daunting challenge of making new acquaintances into new friends? When we recently moved to Seabrook, we were greeted by a host of people who had been talking about “the new people on third”, anticipating our arrival. The staff came by to welcome us, the wait staff in the dining room soon knew our names, we were already on the resident list, the front door call panel, and the “they have a pet list". Our name was even embroidered in a frame and posted on a panel by the door.

Residents called us, stopped us in the halls and introduced themselves at our table in the dining room. They alerted us to activities and we were invited to get acquainted parties before dinner in neighbors apartments. Friendliness was overwhelming. We look forward to the camaraderie of dinner hour. And the food, Delicious!

In just a few weeks, we’ve come to know dozens of people, shared with them our life stories, discussed the news of the day, enjoyed intellects, reminiscences, and hopes. Even thinking back on bygone days when the children and their outgoing personalities eased our entry into a new community.  We are pressed to match the welcome we found at The Seabrook.
